Downtown Jasper is one step closer to becoming a designated Main Street Alabama city. The program, which serves to revitalize downtown communities in Alabama, could bring a visionary approach for the area — but there is a process.

Mike Putman, the director of marketing and communications for the Downtown Jasper Business Association, is spearheading the effort for downtown Jasper to be designated as a Main Street Alabama community.
