Montevallo Features Fire Hydrant Walking Tour
Montevallo's Pendleton Hydrant Parade, a 2.6-mile trail that features 29 painted fire hydrants, has recently completed its renovations. Local artists volunteered to paint the hydrants in a number of different themes that reflect what Montevallo residents love about their community, including Montevallo Bulldogs, first responders, local flora and fauna, and community assets such as the Sister City, Tinglewood, and James Wylie Shepherd Observatory.
T-Mobile Awards $50,000 Hometown Grant For Downtown Atmore Project
Atmore will use the $50,000 to provide an internet technology lab as well as computer furnishings which will be located in the former Atmore Hardware store on Main Street.

Headland's downtown square has been undergoing some electrical upgrades this summer, and city leaders say those improvements are almost complete.
