The work session will be held at 5 p.m., prior to the council’s scheduled 6 p.m. meeting. Mary Helmer, Main Street Alabama, president will make a presentation on what Main Street can do to help Fort Payne’s downtown merchants. Helmer met with the Downtown Merchant’s Association in September and will make the same presentation to the council.
