Jan 6th, 2025

Mariah MontgomeryBirmingham, Ala. (Jan. 6, 2025) — Main Street Alabama is excited to announce the expansion of its development team to help serve the National Main Street Coordinating Program’s implementation of the community-based 4-Point Approach® to revitalize historic districts.

The statewide organization welcomes Mariah Montgomery as the newest member of its Main Street Program Development Team. Although raised in Kansas, Montgomery made Enterprise, Alabama, her home before becoming the Enterprise Parks and Recreation’s Program Coordinator for two years, implementing events and programs for the community. In 2022, she accepted the position of executive director with Main Street Enterprise—only the second person to serve in the full-time role. Main Street Alabama helps communities organize themselves for success, improve the design of their neighborhoods, promote their districts, and enhance their economic base. As part of the development team, Montgomery will help coordinate and provide technical services to improve revitalization outcomes for Main Street Alabama communities, including nonprofit management, organizational development, fundraising, strategic development, program sustainability, business assistance, historic building rehabilitation, volunteer development, marketing, and promotion, and working with designated communities to realize economic impact.
